Gratitude and Manifestation: Boost Abundance by Appreciating Now
This process involves expressing gratitude for what you already have and what’s to come. I especially like to practice gratitude in the morning as it’s a great way to start my day on a positive note. I write down a few things I’m grateful for and try to make these different each day.
Gratitude works by shifting our energy into a state of abundance, making us a vibrational match to the things we desire. When we focus on what we have vs what we lack, we attract more good things into our lives.
Some people hear the word gratitude and it makes them cringe, if you are this person, whenever you read gratitude, think appreciation or joy. This manifestation practice is really about appreciating what you have, what’s to come, and finding joy in small things in our everyday lives. I find that people come often resonate more with appreciation or joy.
Gratitude vs. Desperation in Manifestation
When we feel desperate for something we desire we are coming from a place of lack, which tells the universe you don’t actually want your desire. Lack has a negative feeling tied to it, when manifesting, we have to align our energy with the energy of what we desire in order for it to manifest. For example, you desire a new car so badly you start to feel desperate, like you just can’t live without it, you envy people with new cars, you constantly think how you’ll never be able to get a new car, etc. You can usually feel when you are getting desperate.
Instead, you want to feel appreciation for the car you already have, feel gratitude for being able to go from point A to point B, look at someone else that has a new car and think, “That’s a really nice car, I would love to have those rims when I get a new car”. Appreciate what you have and the things around you. This aligns your energy into a state of abundance.
How to Practice Gratitude Daily
I usually start in the morning, either writing down different things I’m grateful for everyday or simply just noting them in my head. Practicing gratitude in the morning is a great way to shift your mindset into a state of positivity and abundance. Start by writing 3-5 things you are grateful for, try this for two weeks and see how it makes you feel. Shoot for different things everyday, if you just write, “I’m grateful for my home, my family, and my spouse” everyday, it kind of loses the feeling, it becomes too repetitive and you’re really not truly appreciating what you have in the moment.
Throughout your day, notice things around you to be grateful for. You found a good parking spot, say thanks in your head for that, be grateful for the people who make your coffee, there are so many things you can notice throughout your day to be grateful for. You can be grateful for being able to walk, have all your senses, the neighborhood you live in, being able to order whatever food you desire, etc.
At the end of your day, notice 3 things that you were grateful for. They could be things that happened to you that day or just general things in your life. It’s a great way to say “thanks” to each day and wake up feeling positive and refreshed for the new day ahead.
